I enjoyed your reciting of the poem and your writing that describes how you were able to see the value in doing in writing, just because you love doing it. I have no such desires to write , but I can identify the desire to create both in crafts and in playing the piano. When I do it for the pure pleasure of creating something and focus on the process, and not on the results, it is meditative for me.

I can so relate to what you are saying. It is very much like music- very personal and makes one feel so vulnerable- yet so cathartic at the same time. Thanks for sharing your personal journey with this, it shows how open to growth and deeper understanding of who you really are as you travel on your own personal journey. It is an inspiration to others and we look forward to reading more of your writing!

I LOVED this, Susan! As someone who published almost nothing as an academic pediatrician (cowed by rejections early on) but who still got to write a little along the way; and who was an English major in college and who got to know the writing of a good number of those whose quotes came up in your chatbot search…)…your description of your own experience was for me wonderfully comforting and resonant. Thank you! ❤️
